72 hour Prepardeness - Are You Prepared?

January 18 - Are you and your family prepared for an emergency? Are you ready for a power outage?  Do you have a personal emergency plan? Be prepared!

Yukon Energy and Yukon EMO has prepared this booklet which focuses on what to do during winter power outages.  You can also download the 72-hour Emergency Preparedness Guide to prepare your family for a minimum of 72 hours if an emergency happens in your community.

Winter Flood Bulletin - Mayo update now available 

December 23 - Yukon's Emergency Measures Organization has worked closely with an Incident Management Team on the ground in Mayo to successfully manage low level winter flooding near the community. Efforts continue through the Christmas season and have so far been effective in reducing ground and surface water. 

Mt. Sima Opens

December 15 - Mt. Sima is officially opened for the 2011/2012 winter season!

Jennifer Byram (Pelly Construction), Mayor Bev Buckway, Minister Elaine Taylor and Craig Hougen (President of the Great Northern Ski Society) were present to cut the ribbon at the unveiling of the new chairlift.
